Danuta has been awarded the 2026 Eastern Star Award by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS)!
The Eastern Star Award supports outstanding immunological research in Eastern Europe and provides funding for project-related consumables. Each year, only three researchers across Eastern Europe are selected for this prestigious award.
As part of the awarded project, Danuta will investigate small extracellular vesicle-mediated lipid-specific responses in the lungs, aiming to better understand the mechanisms underlying allergic march.
This recognition celebrates Danuta’s continuous work at the intersection of immunology, epithelial barrier biology and extracellular vesicle research, and is an exciting opportunity to further develop research within the lab.
