Reza Abouali recently completed a three-month research stay in the laboratory of Dr. Milena Sokolowska (PD, M.D, Ph.D) at the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) in Davos, Switzerland.
During his stay, he worked on air–liquid interface (ALI) 3D cultures of human bronchial epithelial cells and the isolation of small extracellular vesicles from these cultures, further developing work related to his PhD project. He also had the chance to participate in the World Immune Regulation Meeting (WIRM), where he presented his PhD research.
His research stay was funded by the European Federation of Immunological Societies. Reza greatly enjoyed his experience at SIAF, as well as skiing in Davos!
